A Little of Your Time Can Go a Long Way to Help Your Student and the Staff!
Earn money for CEC through the PTA general fund by volunteering for thrift shop workgroups.
Workgroups take place when the store is closed. Tasks are easy, and usually include straightening and organizing items and cleaning the store. Students, parents, siblings and all family members are encouraged to volunteer.
Thrift Shop Workgroups, Pittsboro Store
Sunday, April 21st 2pm-4pm
Wednesday, May 1st 6-8pm
Monday, May 5th 62-4pm
Sunday, May 19th, 2-4pm
If the workgroup times are not convenient for you, feel free to stop by any of the PTA Thrift Shop locations, Siler City, Pittsboro or Cole Park, and ask a manager about scheduling another time to volunteer. Be sure to record your volunteer hours in the CEC binder at each store, and snap a photo for your records.
$26,575 was awarded to the CEC PTA for thrift shop hours volunteered in 2022-23 by CEC parents, students and staff. Way to go, Octopi!
PTA Memberships are just $10 for parents and guardians, $7 for students and staff. Joining the PTA does not obligate you to volunteer, and is a great way to stay in the loop at CEC.
